On Sunday, March 24, West Coast Warriors 02G met San Ramon FC 02G to resume the 2018-2019 NorCal Premier NPL season.  The two teams sized each other up, West Coast GK Morgan Blankenship, made some solid saves to keep the score 0-0.  With some adjustments the Warriors began to take control of the game.  San Ramon NPL proved to be a worthy opponent and

their goal keeper remained busy most of the time, but a steal from Mia Mendoza with a cross to Heather Tarabini who cleverly slipped to ball over to a wide open Makalya Mariano for the winning goal.
The Warriors continued to work together and a late barrage of shots forced Warriors GK Victoria Morfin to make excellent saves to keep San Ramon from scoring. The Warriors secured a 1-0 victory to start their Spring League Season. “These Warrior girls are a pleasure to coach, they always come prepared to do their very best.  From their warm up, to their play on the field in both half’s  and their respect of the opponent and referees they deserve this result” says West Coast Soccer Head Coach and DOC Troy Dayak.
