This past Sunday, the West Coast Karma 03 Girls team beat Delta Evolution 2-0 in a Spring League match played at Legacy fields in Tracy Ca. The match went back and forth until Allison Rickman started the scoring on a nice shot from just inside the eighteen assisted by Francesca Pereira putting West Coast up 1-0. Later in the match, West Coast Karma took a 2-0 lead by a shot from Kylie Gregory assisted by Jessie Sotelo and Allison Rickman. In the second half, Delta came out strong, but Karma held them off with brilliant team defense. The shutout was completed by a strong back line consisting of Ycela Ochoa, Mikayla Cordero, Maddie Long, Haley Rodaer and Ciara Lucas. Controlling the midfield was Jessie Sotelo, Melanie Nguyen, Francesca Pereira, Kylee Gregory and Makaela Cordero and strong play in the net by Leilani Staples. The win puts Karma atop the standings in Norcal Premier Spring League.
