The final match of California Regional League (CRL) North Championships was held in Tracy California at the new Legacy Sports Field Complex, West Coast Wildkatz 05 Girls met San Mateo Shooting Stars 05 in the U14 final to determine which team would represent Northern California in US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals held in Boise Idaho this June.  The West Coast Wildkatz seemed eager to get on the score board first, it was Kamiryn Grimes who applied the pressure picking up a turnover off of the kickoff and dribbled the ball down to Shooting Stars goal, weaved around multiple defenders and the goal keeper and then sent the ball to the back of the net giving WildKatz a 1-0 lead just 30 seconds into the match. As the game grew more physical, WildKatz midfield of Jayden Morton, Karlee Lywandowsky, Sutton Denny, Jadynn King continued to dominate play while maintaining their composure.  From a Wildkatz corner kick, Zusette Zamora curved the ball towards the goal hitting the crossbar and bounced just past the goal line giving West Coast a 2-0 lead. Zamora would score again on a soaring shot over the Shooting Stars keeper into the upper corner of the net. West Coast started to showcase their skill, Nadia Sherman, Alexis Berlin & Cameron Silva Showed accuracy in their passing and controlling of the ball.  In the second half of play, Zamora produce a third goal with a thunderous shot giving her a hat-trick and opened up the Wildkatz lead. Wildkatz defensive line was anchored by Jasmine Staples, Madee Reid, Makenna Galvan, Makena Ross and Taryn Richey who all played stellar to prevent any and all attempts on goal from the Shooting Stars. The match ended with a 4-0 shutout for goal keeper Bella Gelao and the Wildkatz team.  With the win, Wildkatz were crowned California Regional League North Champions and have secured a spot in US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals in June which will take place in Boise, Idaho.
