The Mountain House Earthquake 2009 boys battled the Ballistic United SC 09 boys on Sunday earning their first win of the season 7-1.  The Earthquakes played their game with great possession, during the first half and ended the half with a 1-0 score with a goal from Jackson Adams assisted by Dino Shang.  

During the second half, they came out with fierce determination.  The Earthquake defenders were on fire as Yusif Khalil, Avi Nukala, CJ Nelson, and Marcos Malogan battled Ballistic and shut down many opportunities they had.  Cruz Legoretta also made some great saves on goal.

The boys continued with their perseverance and drove the ball up the field several times scoring all around.  It started when Masyn Neubel made a huge kick from the midfield over the goalie’s head. Rujal Sah drove the ball down and scored.  Then on a corner kick from Connor Giuliacci, Dino Shang scored.  The midfield held strong as Avi, Connor, Jackson, and Jarren all had several shots on goal, making the Ballistic goalie work hard. The Earthquakes earned a penalty kick and Yusif Kahlil scored.  The momentum kept coming and Dino and Rujal both scored another goal each before the whistle blew.  This was an exciting win for the Earthquakes and their first of the season.
