West Coast Kaos U16G – West Coast Kaos 03 girls claimed two critical weekend victories.  On Saturday Kaos faced the San Juan Blue in NPL 1 league play.  And on Sunday, Kaos played in the Norcal State Cup quarterfinals against Ajax United.  Kaos outscored the Blues 4-0 and edged out Modesto 1-0 to advance to semifinals.

In NPL 1 league play, Kaos faced the San Juan Blues at home at Robertson Field in Livermore.  Kaos scored early at the 11 minute mark with a pass from Anaya Shelton to Midfield Alina Garcia who volleyed a shot into the top corner of the net.  The second goal of the match came 10 minutes later from Midfielder Daisy Samuelson from a solo corner kick. The half ended with Kaos ahead 2-0.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Kaos Forward Maddie Del Prado nailed the third goal of the match.  The final goal came with five minutes left with a pass-back from Garcia to Defender Alyssa Williams who drilled a shot from outside the 18 into the left corner of the goal.  Kaos claimed the 4-0 victory.  Keeper Maddie Mannina is credited with another shutout.

Early Sunday morning, Kaos headed to Davis to compete in the Norcal State Cup quarterfinals against a formidable Ajax United from Modesto.  Ajax was the favorite going into the match but they couldn’t handle the early offensive attack by West Coast.  At 15 minutes into the match, Kaos midfielder Katie Zeck passed to Alyssa Williams who found Madison Del Prado, Del Prado won a ball inside the Ajax 18 yard box turned past defenders and nailed a shot past the Keeper.  But Ajax did not give up as they pressed players forward and went for long ball tactics.  “It was like a college level match, my players adjusted well to the oppositions tactical change and everyone stepped up to meet the challenge, I’m extremely proud of my team” said Kaos Coach Troy Dayak.  Both teams battled hard through the second half getting a few chances to score but West Coast was able to see out the game winning 1-0 and earning the spot in the Norcal State Cup Final Four.
