The Earthquakes 09 boys faced LaMorinda 09 boys on Saturday, April 27 and came away with a 7- 5 victory. Earthquakes forward Connor Giuliacci started the scoring early in the first five minutes after a breakaway. LaMorinda answered back with the goal of their own. Giuliacci cut through two midfield players finding Masyn Neubel who took a shot right outside the box scoring Earthquake’s second goal.  LaMorinda met their goal with two more goals ending the first half with a lead over the Earthquakes 3-2.

The Earthquakes came out in the second half with a plan. They were focused and soon Dino Shang scored tying the game.  Once again, LaMorinda answered back scoring another, taking the lead 4-3. The Earthquakes were not finished as Carter West drove the ball up the field from the back dribbling through players and scoring with a left footed shot that soared past the keeper.  Dino Shang gained possession of the ball and found Carter West who scored another goal earning the lead for the Earthquakes.  Later in the game the Quakes won a corner kick and Yusif Kahlil crossed the ball to Avi Nukala who found the net upping the score to 6-4.  LaMorinda held on scoring another goal of their own.  Finally, in the last minute of the game Finn Morrison received a brilliant pass from Dino Shah and blasted a long shot over the keeper’s head scoring the final goal of the game, bringing the score to 7-5 Earthquakes.  The West Cost Earthquakes play Heritage 09 boys next weekend at home.
