ith just 4 matches left in NorCal NPL play, Wildkatz 05 of West Coast Soccer Club met Blues FC 05 on Saturday, May 4th.  Wildkatz attacked early in the match as Kamiryn Grimes found the net on a pass from Zusette Zamora.  Shortly after, Zamora found the net herself to give Wildkatz the 2-0 lead. Alexia Berlin struck a beautiful left footed volley that went past the keeper and into the side net.  The half ended with Wildkatz leading 3-0.  As the second half began Cameron Silva dribbled past Blues defenders and shot the ball to the upper right corner.  Wildkatz defense kept Blues from getting shots on goal and maintained the shut out, giving Wildkatz the 4-0 win.  On Sunday May 5th, Wildkatz met San Juan 05 ECNL.  The match was evenly matched throughout the first half of play with the score at 0-0.  As the second half began, Cameron Silva weaved the ball down the left hand side of the pitch past San Juan defenders and crossed the ball in front of San Juan’s net, where Kamiryn Grimes found the goal giving Wildkatz the 1-0 lead.  San Juan responded with intensity and physicality.  A foul called on Wildkatz in the keeper’s box led to a penalty kick. Wildkatz goalie, Bella Gelao, dove for an amazing save to deny San Juan the point.  The match remained physical and San Juan found the net to even the score 1-1.  Many shots on goal by Wildkatz didn’t find the net and Wildkatz defense kept San Juan scoreless for the rest of the match and the score remained a 1-1 draw.  Wildkatz remain undefeated in NorCal NPL play with two matches left to play on May 17th against California Cougars of Stockton and Marin FC of Marin on May 18th.
