Half way through the Fall 2019 NorCal Season, the West Coast Krush 04 Girls team remains undefeated after a 1-0 victory over Santa Rosa United this past Saturday.

In a closely contested match, there were opportunities from both sides, Bella Gelao spun a Santa Rosa defender and had a great opportunity one on one to goal that was foot saved by Santa Rosa’s goalkeeper. After halftime talk with Coach Adaurie Dayak, the players took the field ready for action. West Coast wingers Victoria Rivera and Lauren Stoneberger created multiple opportunities for the team offensively, and defensively, Julia Morfin held the midfield together with Kimberly Keller and Kaya Brown. The game remained 0-0 until Krush earned a corner kick with just under 11 minutes remaining. Kira Korsak’s kick sailed directly into the box, finding Jadynn King just inside the near post. King volleyed the ball between the post and Santa Rosa’s goalie, scoring the only goal of the game. West Coast Krush goalie Cassidy Pearson earned the shutout along with Carly Singleton, Emani Araya, Susan Contreras and Andrea Castillo on defense.

Krush currently sits in first place of NorCal Premier U16 Gold League with a 4-0-1 record and four games remaining. Krush resumes Fall League ‪Saturday, October 5th with their next home game in Livermore.

West Coast’s Gk Cassidy Pearson earns a shutout victory for the Krush.
