The West Coast Krush U16 Girls are the Thriller Classic Tournament Champions after an impressive display this past weekend in Morgan Hill. 

Krush’s tournament run started off against SF Vikings SFVSC 04G Raven. After a scoreless first half, Kaya Brown got Krush on the board after scoring off a SF Vikings deflection from Carly Singleton’s well-placed corner kick. That single goal was all Krush needed for the 1-0 victory. In game two Krush faced off against Elite Soccer 04G Orange, the first half ended 0-0 with both teams battling throughout the half. That changed in the second half when Kimmie Keller passed the ball to Indianna Stoneberger, who scored the only goal of the game. The 1-0 win for the second game in a row secured Krush’s position in the tournament final.

Sunday’s championship game had Krush once again facing off with Elite, but this time Krush dominated the game, scoring four unanswered goals. Lauren Stoneberger started off Krush’s scoring attack, with an assist from Keller and a short time later, Stoneberer and Keller switched roles, with Keller scoring and Stoneberger earning the assist. Singleton’s penalty kick conversion put Krush up 3-0. Singleton followed her penalty kick with an assist on the final goal of the game, scored by Brown. Final score 4-2 and the championship victory for West Coast Krush. Coach Adaurie Dayak said “it was a great weekend, both of my West Coast teams worked extremely hard and earned their place as tournament champions!”

Throughout the weekend Krush, made up of Brown, Singleton, Keller, Lauren Stoneberger, Indianna Stoneberger, Pearson, Diana Guerrero, Emani Araya, Francesca Ramos, Julia Morfin, Miranda Valle, Susan Contreras, Victoria Rivera, Kira Korsak, Brooke Gale demonstrated strong teamwork and played with a lot of heart, which was rewarded with them walking away as the Halloween Thriller Tournament Champions!
