Katz came out on fire this weekend at the Morgan Hill Halloween Soccer Tournament! Facing four games, with the point based system, the Katz came out and dominated the tournament. West Coast Defense held steady throughout the weekend from Addison McNeil, Taylen Dayak, Bella Hansen, and Sydney Stephens. In the first game, Katz refused to let the Gilroy Infinity line up any shot in the first half. Katz only allowed one goal the whole game, made from a penalty kick by the Gilroy Infinity. Sophia Rodriguez scored, assisted by Alexis Zamora, then Sydney Stephens scored, assisted by Addison McNeil. Karly Martins and Sydney Stephens were each able to find the back of the net. Katz won 4-1. This gave the Katz 9 points in the tournament. The second game Taylor Conover fires a shot in the goal in the first five minutes of play. Then from a smart throw in by Taylen Dayak, Sydney Stephens was able to place it in the goal right away. Sydney assisted by Dayak again managed to sneak in another goal. That did not stop the Katz from fighting for more, as Sydney Stephens drove in an incredible header straight to the net! Katz continued their shots of terror, with Cailey Sasaki assisted by Alexis Zamora, not once but twice in the same game, bringing the Katz up 6-1. Second half saw much more passing by the Katz, but Hansen was able to drive in another goal with a penalty kick. Katz won 7-4, giving them 18 points in the tournament and a four point advantage going into Sunday's games.
