West Coast Wildkatz 05 girls are back in action after a short high school season break.  West Coast took three teams to Morgan Hill for the 2020 Surf Copa Cup Surf Cup Qualifiers.  All three West Coast teams went undefeated in 12 straight games. Wildkatz competed in the top Super Group division of the U15 Girls age group.  It did not take long for Wildkatz to get back into form. In the first game against Monterey Surf Kamiryn Grimes had two goals and the third was an own goal on a great cross from Zusette Zamora. Wildkatz won 3-0. In the second game Wildkatz continued to dominate the play, Grimes would get the game winner as they defeated San Jose Surf 1-0.  Game three Wildkatz controlled much of the play against SF United but it was a beautiful cross from Maddee Reid to Miette Sessoms for a stunning goal to give the Wildkatz a 1-0 win to put West Coast in the final.  Wildkatz faced a strong opposition from San Luis Obispo; Central Coast United after a deadlock first half for both sides, Savannah Cordero orchestrated and scored the go ahead goal with an assist from Kamiryn Grimes. Wildkatz began to take over the game as United were barely were able to get the ball over the halfway line due to the strong play of Wildkatz back line Niella Sessoms, Makena Ross, Sydney Goodwin, Nadia Sherman, Kamaria Hughes, Alexia Berlin, Hailey Rodaer and Maddee Reid. The midfield was dominated by Taryn Richey, Jadynn King, Giovanna Garcia. The second goal came from a nice pass from Zusette Zamora to Jadynn King who crossed the ball perfectly to a streaking Miette Sessoms for a spectacular header goal. Isabella Gelao registered her fourth straight shutout and helped close out the 2-0 victory sealing the championship and bringing home the Surf Copa Cup.  West Coast Wildkatz will now resume NorCal Spring League Champions League play and prepare for the upcoming Players College Showcase in Las Vegas.
