West Coast 08 Katz Advance to State Cup Semifinals

On April 30th, 2008 Girls West Coast Katz played Sacramento United in State Cup Quarterfinals at the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex. In the first half Katz player, Alexis Zamora, had three shots and Izabella Arellano had two shots. Katz goalkeeper, Parker Black, had five saves. In the second half Savannah Caley made a well timed tackle then passed the ball to Zamorra who placed the ball in the back of Sacramento United’s net. Savannah Caley, Taylor Conover, and Taylen Dayak each had an opportunity to score but was saved by Sacramento United’s goalkeeper. Zamora had three more chances that barely missed just before the forty minute mark. With three minutes left in the game, Sacramento United scored from a long distance shot tying the game at 1-1. In the last minute of the game, Zamora received a through ball from Delaeni Grajeda and scored a goal to get the 2-1 lead for West Coast Katz. By the end of the game Black had three more saves. Zamora let the team with scoring two goals and the strong defensive line made up of Isabella Hansen, Taylen Dayak, Addison McNeil, Izabella Arellano, and Karly Martins, West Coast Katz won 2-1 advancing onto the NorCal State Cup U14 Girls Gold Cup Semifinals!
