West Coast 2013 Krush played against 2013 East Bay Eclipse in their second State Cup match. The first half ended at 0-0 with a seven-shot shutout by goalkeeper Itzayana Poblano and center defenders Brayden Mickael and Karina Grewal. Towards the last 7 minutes of the second half Aaliyah Mahoney passed the ball through to Kalista Smalls who dribbled down the center of the field and shot the ball past the East Bay goalkeeper for her first goal of the season. The Krush led the game at 1-0. About a minute later East Bay broke through down the middle and shot a long ball over the top of Poblano achieving an unsavable goal. Krush pushed hard to try to earn a second goal but the final whistle blew and the game ended with a 1-1 tie.
West Coast Krush look forward to playing their first tournament next weekend in Elk Grove.
