The 08 team wrapped up an unforgettable season at the GA Summer Showcase in Norco, finishing undefeated against top competition from across the country. The showcase, held at the Silverlakes Sports Complex, featured exciting matchups and plenty of standout performances.

In Game 1, the team made an early statement with a decisive 4-1 victory over Nashville United. Game 2 proved to be a tightly contested battle, ending in a hard-fought 2-2 draw with SC del Sol. The team capped off the event with a gritty 1-0 shutout win over PA Classics in Game 3, with goalkeeper Avery Gleason delivering a clutch clean sheet and steady play throughout the weekend.

The girls attack was relentless, with goals coming from Anna Parra, Mia Moniz, Aliya Lopez, Kylie Brasil and Danielle Rey. Offensive pressure and creativity were on full display thanks to the efforts of Valeria Fuentes, Sierrah Garcia, Athina Anowia, Kiara Walker, and Sawyer Stark, who continually challenged opposing defenses.

Defensively, the team was rock solid, anchored by the collective efforts of Claire Gornik, Rachel Warter, Brooklyn Cornish, Isabella Smith, Taylen Dayak, and Lillian Cooke. Their disciplined play kept the Kraze in control and set the tone for the clean sheet finale.

The showcase was packed with exciting moments and demonstrated the team’s resilience, skill, and chemistry against some of the nation’s best.

With momentum building, the 08 girls now look ahead to their upcoming season in the ECNL-RL league, eager to keep the winning spirit alive.
