West Coast Wildfire 00 girls have worked their way up to be considered one of the top 18 teams in the highest division in Norcal. Wildfires ascension came through promotion as NPL 3, NPL, 2 & NPL 1 Champions, placing them now in the Norcal Champions League. On Saturday, Wildfire who had been struggling to get the right balance in their first few games of champions league came out on fire against San Juan. Savannah Seals, Tatiana Elsea and Jaden Hall did well controlling possession of the ball and making some great runs while taking shots on goal. But it was Savannah Boone who put wildfire on the board first with a score of 1-0. Defense from Kate Wallace, Isabella Enes, Cali Crain, Katherine Auer and Reagan Mah kept San Juan from scoring throughout the first half. In the second half San Juan would tie the game at 1-1 with a shot that barely got over the fingertips of Brianna Odell. Midfielders Megan Clifton, McKenna  Diaz, Jessa Lyons, Daniela Vallejo and Precious Martinez continue to play great distributing the ball well. Savannah Boone was able to fire a shot past San Juan to put West Coast back in the lead, finishing the game with a 2-1 victory. Next up Wildfire will play in the local derby against crosstown rival Livermore Fusion on Oct 6. Savannah Boone helped secure West Coast Wildfire first win in champions league with a pair of goals.
