It was another strong showing for the West Coast Krush 05 Girls team, winning their second league game in a row, then tying in their first NorCal State Cup Group Stage game.

Friday night Krush traveled to Fallon Park in Dublin to face off against Dublin United 05G Premier for their second NorCal Premier Fall League game. Krush scored the first goal of the game when Khushleen Hothi crossed the ball to Kayla Robinson, who scored. Dublin countered with a goal of their own later in the half, but Robinson responded with another goal, off a quick touch pass from Lauren Stoneberger. Robinson completed a hat trick for the game, scoring her third goal early in the second half, with Jadynn King earning the assist.  Kimmie Keller’s unassisted goal over the outstretched hands of Dublin’s goalie secured the victory for Krush. Final score 4-2 West Coast.

Krush started Group Stage play for NorCal State Cup on Sunday against Martinez Pleasant Hill FC Avalanche.  In a high scoring, toughly battled game, Krush scored in the first minute when Paige McLean passed the ball up to Robinson. McLean and Robinson connected again minutes later for Krush’s second goal of the game. After Avalanche scored their first goal, Robinson passed the ball back to Hothi, who shot the ball high into the corner of the net. Avalanche scored twice more before halftime, tying the game 3-3. In the second half Hothi passed the ball to Robinson, who shot the ball between the goalie’s legs, for her third goal of the game (and second hat trick for the weekend). Once again, Avalanche answered with another goal, tying the game at 4-4, but Krush had one goal left in them. Ava Coverdale split the ball up to Gianna Ramirez, who slipped the ball past Avalanche’s charging goalie, scoring Krush’s fifth goal of the game. Avalanche scored one final goal in the last three minutes of the game, tying the game for a third time and a final score 5-5.
