WCS 08 Koyotes have break-out weekend

On Saturday, October 20, at Christensen Park in Livermore, the West Coast 08 Koyotes faced San Ramon FC 08G White.  San Ramon started the game with two goals in the first four minutes.  The Koyotes did not give up.  Taylor Conover 11 minutes in the first half, sent a nice shot into the net for West Coast.  Cailey Sasaki, Isabella Hansen and Delaeni Grajeda were very aggressive defenders and were able to move the ball up the field.  Megan Silva tied the game 16 minutes in the first half with an assist from Makenna Loder.  San Ramon answered with another goal.  Right before the half ended Kendall Coates snuck the ball in the net to tie again.  Coach Adaurie Dayak gave the girls a great pep talk at half time.  The second half was a nail bitter, as several attempts on goal were made by Peyton Stark, Sophia Rodriguez and Megan Silva. Yasmin Karcher and Natalie Miller dominated the middle and goalie Parker Black had 8 saves.  The game finished with a 3-3 tie.

On Sunday, the West Coast 08 Koyotes faced the Piedmont SC Highlander 08G White in State Cup game #1, Round 2.  The game started with Peyton Stark and Cailey Sasaki showing great bravery even though Piedmont was very physical to the ball.  Megan Silva made several attempts at scoring goal, finally, Natalie Miller shot one past the goalie.  Coach Adaurie Dayak once again motivated and fired the Koyotes up at half time.  Yasmin Karcher dominated the middle.  Taylor Caoili wowed the crowd with incredible throw ins. Sophia Rodriquez with an assist from Isabella scored.  Taylor Conover passed the ball and had two attempts on goal.   Isabella Hansen worked her magic with a trick scoring three goals, assist from Makenna Loder and Natalie Miller.  Delaeni Grajeda was outstanding on defense and Parker Black had 2 saves in goal.  Koyotes ended the game up 5-0.
