West Coast Krossfire secure State Cup top seed

Going into Sunday afternoon's match against San Ramon FC 06G Navy, West Coast Krossfire 06G were tied a the top their Group Play bracket. Knowing that they needed at least a tie to win their bracket outright, the Krossfire attack came out firing. Payton Hoover started off the Krossfire scoring in the second minute, knocking in a pass from Kendra Riddiough. Gianna Ramirez would add a pair of goals to give Krossfire the 3-0 lead. Riddiough and Hoover continued their scoring connection and Riddiough would knock in the fourth goal To give Krossfire a 4-0 lead in the first half.

The second half saw the Krossfire defense lock down the San Ramon attack. The defensive rotation of Brittany Hahn, Adriana Paneda, Paige McLean, Sophia Simonds, Madeline Snodgress and Jasleen Gasca held strong allowing San Ramon to only muster one shot on goal, which goalkeeper Jennessa Maselli was able to cover. Krossfire's Riddiough-Hoover connection also continued as both added goals assisted by the other. Krossfire would go on to win 6-0 and claim the top spot in their NorCal Premier State Cup group play bracket.

Next up for Krossfire is the Placer Girls tournament in the Sacramento on October 27-28.
