West Coast Warriors defeated California Thorns 02 Academy to stay in contention for 1st place in NPL 1.

It only took the Warrior's five minutes to score the 1st goal of game with penetrating pass from Caitlyn Gorrison to Yareli Hernandez for the finish.

West Coast midfielders and forwards Makayla Marinaro, Mia Mendoza, Kaitlin Carlton, Isabel Mello, Heather Tarabini were able to control and distribute the ball very well helping set up the second goal to Catilyn Garrison to end the 1st half.

California Thorns came out strong the second half but Warrior's defense of Julianne Munoz, Ari Moore, Jordan Brown, Leila Krummen- Ganz, Brianna Herren, Lindsay Plant, Fayth Hinojosa and goal keepers were up for the challenge not allowing any easy shot on goal.  The two Warriors goal keepers were Victoria Morfin and Morgan Blankenship to pitch shut out.

Fayth Hinojosa Added security with a third goal on a terrific run from the midfield, combining with Heather Tarabini on a give and go goal to seal game 3-0. West Coast Warriors U17 girls remain tied for the lead With Nevada Players in Norcal NPL 1 Division and are first seed after state cup group play.
